Discovery

To start the project, I collaborated with product analysts to gain a clear understanding of the product requirements and conducted user research to gather insights into user needs and expectations.

This research allowed me to identify the pain points and challenges users face when managing their workspace, which played a crucial role in shaping my design decisions.

Design & Development

The primary focus of the project was to create a responsive and accessible design that would provide an optimal user experience for individuals with food allergies, ensuring they can confidently order food online. I developed wireframes and prototypes to visualize the new layout and design elements for Urban Treats, a food delivery app tailored specifically for users with dietary restrictions and allergy concerns. A user-friendly and intuitive interface was chosen to simplify the ordering process, allowing users to easily filter out allergens and view detailed ingredient information without unnecessary steps.

Key features of the design included a clean, modern aesthetic that aligns with Urban Treats' brand identity; intuitive navigation that helps users quickly find allergen-safe options; prominent filters and clear, detailed descriptions of each dish to aid in safe food selection; and accessible design elements to ensure usability for all, including those with disabilities.

Throughout the design process, I conducted multiple rounds of usability testing with actual users who have food allergies to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments. This iterative approach ensured that the final design was highly user-centric and addressed all pain points related to ordering food safely.

App Overview

Reflections

Reflecting on the development of Urban Treats, the project has been a significant step forward in addressing the challenges faced by individuals with food allergies when ordering online. Although the app has not yet been launched, our focus on user-centric design and continuous feedback has laid a strong foundation for an intuitive and accessible platform that simplifies the process of finding safe food options.

This iterative approach will be crucial in maintaining high levels of satisfaction and delivering a reliable, safe, and convenient food ordering solution.
